 Eastern Wyoming Wins and Advances in Contender's Bracket

 

Nov. 8,  2019, Sterling, Colo. — Eastern Wyoming College earned a three set victory over Western Wyoming in the Contender's Bracket and moved them on for a chance to advance to the District B Championship match.  They will face Western Nebraska who also continued their season with a win over McCook today.

Falling behind 11-14 in set one, EWC called timeout and pushed to a one point lead 15-14.  Western Wyoming then sidedout to tie it up at 15 before EWC went on a six point run to open up the match and ultimately win set one, 25-20.  In set two, Western Wyoming started off slow and fell behind 0-4.  However, out of their time out, they raced back to the tie the set at 9's and then lead 14-9. Eastern slowly clawed their way back ties, the match at 18's before taking the lead 22-20 and finishing set two 25-23. The third set was back and forth up to point 15 when Eastern Wyoming went on a nine point run to win the set 25-15 and win the match.  

Eastern Wyoming now advances to the semifinal match vs Western Nebraska tomorrow at 12 pm.  The winner of that match will face the loser of tonight's District A Championship match in the District B Championship match.
