Western Nebraska downs Central Wyoming in Four Sets

WNCC Advances to Quarterfinals

Nov. 6, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — In the final match of the opening round of the Region IX Volleyball Tournament, #1 South Seed Western Nebraska held off Central Wyoming College by a score of 22-25, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-13. Strong net play and solid defense led to the Cougar victory.  Western Nebraska will face South Sub Region foe, Otero Junior College in the quarterfinals at 6 pm tomorrow night. 

 

Central Wyoming College drops to the Contender's Bracket where they will face off with Eastern Wyoming College at 2 pm.  Both teams are still vying for national tournament berth, but the loser of the match will be eliminated from the tournament.

 

Northeastern Junior College is Colorado's premier two-year residential college, part of the Colorado Community College System and NCA accredited.
