Road Game Split

Road Game Split

The final regular season road trip is always bittersweet.  The men have had numerous cancelled games, rescheduled games, and overall frustration.  With the last road game already here, they were happy that everything was being closer to staying consistent.  But with the excitement also brings some sorrow because it means that their season is about to end.  To bring them back in the mood however is the thought of them playing for a Region IX Championship in postseason.

The Plainsmen have had the advantage thus far against the Indians, so getting these last two games for the series sweep would make it complete.  The first game would go just as the men would have hoped as they would win with a score of 5-1.  The sweep was only one game away, but McCook would have something up their sleeves.  Beating a team six times throughout the season is a tough task, and it showed the last game.  One of the reasons why it is so challenging is that the competition gets to know all your pitchers and their tendencies.  The Indians would have Northeastern figured out in the last game and would defeat the Plainsmen 8-4.

Although they did not get the series sweep, the Plainsmen would go 5-1 against them, which helps boost them into their final regular season games against the Trinidad State Trojans.  Come out to the game and enjoy some ballpark food as the Alumni Association will be providing refreshments, food, and fun for all fans (weather permitting).
