Baseball Wins Against Rams

Apr. 29, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — In a non-conference game, the Plainsmen baseball team played a two-day, three-game series against the Colorado State University-Club team. These games served as a way to touch up aspects of their game before the two biggest series of the year. The Plainsmen fell in game one in Fort Collins, Colo. 15-14, but were able to pull things together for games two and three at Plainsmen Park and win 7-6 and 8-4.

In game one, Northeastern got things moving in the first inning, when Rosalio Mayo Ibarra singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. They extended their lead to a 9-2 game before the Rams started chipping away in the bottom of the fifth.
