Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen stayed in it until the end, but McCook CC pulled away late in an 18-8 victory on Saturday. The game was tied at five with McCook CC batting in the top of the sixth when Descartes tripled on a 2-2 count, scoring three runs. Despite the loss, Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, McCook CC had 13 hits on the way to victory. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen fired up the offense in the second inning. Ryan Kucy was hit by a pitch, driving in a run. McCook CC pulled away for good with nine runs in the sixth inning. In the sixth Morcom singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run, Dale singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run, an error scored one run for McCook CC, Maysonave homered on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs, and Minic singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run. Chabi earned the victory on the hill for McCook CC. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 10-3 loss to McCook CC on Sunday. McCook CC scored on a single by Descartes in the first inning, a single by Reyes in the first inning, and a single by Descartes in the second inning. The Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen struggled to contain the high-powered offense of McCook CC, giving up ten runs. McCook CC pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Descartes singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs. McCook CC scored three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive firepower by McCook CC was led by MaysonaveReyes, and Yeager, who each had RBIs in the inning. Lester took the win for McCook CC. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing three runs on seven hits and striking out eight. Noah Soper took the loss for Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen. Both Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen and McCook CC had their offenses going on Sunday, but Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen eventually prevailed 17-7. McCook CC got on the board in the first inning. McCook CC scored one run when Murdoch singled. After McCook CC scored one run in the top of the third, Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen answered with one of their own. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen pulled away for good with six runs in the fourth inning.
