Northeastern Baseball Takes Down Trinidad State College 8-3 In the First Game of The Four Game Road Series

Northeastern Baseball earned the win over Trinidad State College 8-3 on Saturday. Brayden Stufft was named the DDC Player of the Game. Stufft went 1-2 at the plate, drawing two walks, hitting one home run, scored two runs and drove in three runs in the contest. 

The Plainsmen opened the scoring in the top of the first inning thanks to two singles. Max Valerio singled, scoring two runs. Stufft homered to center field, scoring three runs in the top of the second inning. Gavin Lamont started the game for Northeastern and ended up earning the win. Lamon threw 6 innings, giving up three earned runs on 6 hits, walking three batters and striking out 6 batters. Evan Gail threw one inning of relief and struck out all three batters he faced. 

Northeastern accumulated 10 hits in the contest. Brendan Clelland and Valerio were a force together in the lineup, as they each collectd two hits for the Plainsmen. Stufft led the team with three runs batted in. Tanner Peerey stole two bases in the contest.
