Turnovers Haunt Plainsmen in Loss

Jan. 31, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — Having numerous home games in a row was nice for the Plainsmen basketball team after returning from break. It allowed them to get back in the swing of things before hitting the road for a stint of games. Although the men did not have the outcome they intended, they knew they typically play better on the road.

The Rattlers this year are playing well, so Northeastern had to play sharp if they wanted to steal the win on the road. The first half was a rough start for the men as they fell behind to trail 44-34. For Northeastern to be successful, they needed to limit their turnovers and keep attacking the rim. The men were able to play a better second half, but were unable to overcome the Rattlers pressure and fell 100-83.

The Plainsmen will be home on Saturday, Feb. 2 as they host Trinidad State for Hoops Homecoming.
