Hayes Becomes Bronco By Signing His NLI

Brodie Hayes is the fifth soccer student-athlete of the 2018 graduating class to sign on to continue his athletic and academic career. Hayes has signed a National Letter of Intent with NAIA powerhouse Hastings College in Hastings, NE. Hastings finished the 2018 season with a 19-3-1 overall record, eventually losing in penalty kicks in the Round of 16 of the NAIA National Tournament. The year before, Hastings was the NAIA National Champions during the 2017 season.

Hastings College Head Coach Aaron Champenoy commented on Hayes, "I could not be more excited about the future of our program at Hastings College. Brodie is a great addition to the Bronco family. This class might be the strongest class we have recruited and Brodie brings a lot of experience and versatility to the team. At 6'5", he is an imposing figure and will add strength on both sides of set pieces and for such a big presence, he has great feet and moves incredibly well. Not only will he be a great addition on the field but also he is a great young man and will be a great addition to the Bronco community. We can't wait to get him and the rest of squad on the field for the coming season."

"Brodie, being 6'5", should not be able to have the control his body the way he does. He is an extremely graceful player, which is extremely rare for someone his size. I am not sure I have come across a player with a greater and unique talent than Brodie. As a person, he will be very much missed. He is a cheerful character who can make light of most situations but also extremely self-aware and introspective. He is always willing to do what is best for the group and is a great addition to a program the caliber of Hastings that is pursuing national titles on a yearly basis," said Northeastern Head Coach David Groves
