French Athlete Luc Denisselle signs with Northeastern Junior College Soccer Team

French athlete Luc Denisselle has decided to continue his academic and athletic career as a Plainsman with Northeastern Junior College, after five years of playing for the Valenciennes Football Club in France. Luc has participated in international tournaments with the French youth soccer teams of RC Lens and Lille OSC, both top-tier Ligue 1 clubs. His achievements include winning numerous regional championships in France and earning a selection to the Nord-Pas-de-Calais team in northern France.

Northeastern coach David Groves commented on his signing, "The recruit process with Luc has been long and there have been many hurdles that needed to be overcome. We have had many strong goalkeepers during my time as a Plainsmen coach with Akim Larmond, Eric Edge, and Clement May – all big-time goalkeepers with their own set of individual qualities. At 6'5" and with a work ethic that cannot be matched, Luc is a major signing for this program and has tremendous upside and abilities to make it very far over here in the United States. Northeastern men's soccer will have a very safe pair of hands moving forward, and I am delighted that Luc has chosen to become a Plainsman."

The Plainsmen will begin their season on the road on August 24 against Snow College.
