Northeastern Comes Out Hot Against Lamar Community College Winning Game 1 12-7

Reagan Fehringer collected three hits in three at bats, as Northeastern defeated Lamar Community College 12-7 on Game 1 of Friday. Fehringer hit a home run to center field in the third inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and doubled in the fourth inning. Northeastern flipped the game on it's head in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs on seven hits to take a 6-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Fehringer that drove in two. The Plainswomen flipped the game in the bottome of the fifth, scoring six runs on five hits to take a 12-6 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Lauren Lee that drove in two. Fehringer earned the win for Northeastern. The righty gave up 13 hits and seven runs (5 earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking five. Northeastern amassed 15 hits in the game. Lee led Northeastern with four hits in four at bats. Ryann Eurich, Isabelle Bencivenga, and Ayva McComas collected multiple hits for the Plainswomen.
