It Was A Pitcher's Battle Against McCook Community College In Game 1 That Saw McCook Take The Win 2-1

Both teams were strong in the circle on Wednesday, but McCook Community College was just a little bit stronger at the plate as they went on to win 2-1 over Northeastern in Game 1 on Wednesday. Reagan Fehringer started the game for the Plainswomen and recorded 21 outs. Northeastern scored one run in the bottom of the seventh inning on a solo home run to left field by Blayke Duncan. Fehringer took the loss for Northeastern. The righty went seven innings, giving up two runs (zero earned) on five hits, striking out one and walking one. Duncan led Northeastern with one run batted in. Lauren Lee led the Plainswomen with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting four walks for the game.
