Northeastern Falls To Otero In A Back And Forth Affair 11-10

Despite leading by as many as six runs, Northeastern fell to Otero College 11-10 in Game 3 of the weekend series. The Plainswomen fought back after falling down by four runs in the sixth inning. The comeback fell just short though. Northeastern closed the gap by scoring on a solo home run and a single. The Plainswomen opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run. A double play extended the Northeastern lead to 2-0 in the top of the third inning. The Plainswomen scored five runs on four hits in the top of the fourth inning. Delilah Segoviano singled, scoring one run, and Ayva McComas hit a grand slam to center field. Northeastern made the score 11-10 in top of the seventh inning when Lauren Lee hit a solo home run to center field, and Reagan Fehringer singled, scoring two runs. Fehringer took the loss for Northeastern. The righty went six innings, surrendering 11 runs on 13 hits, striking out one and walking three. Lee, Savannah Waldrop, McComas, and Fehringer each collected two hits for Northeastern. McComas led the Plainswomen with four runs batted in. Northeastern was sure handed and did not commit a single error. Ryann Eurich had the most plays with three.
