Plainswomen Basketball Adds Four to 2019-20 Recruit Class

Apr. 10, 2019, Sterling, Colo. — The Northeastern Plainswomen basketball team has signed four players for the upcoming 2019-20 season. 

Ashtyn DeLorenzo is a 5'11 forward from Prairie View High School in Henderson, Colo. DeLorenzo helped lead her team to a 17-8 record and averaged nine points and eight rebounds per game. She was named Second Team East Metro Athletic Conference her senior year. While at Northeastern, DeLorenzo will major in Business. Her proud parents are Joe and Becky DeLorenzo. 

Taylor Williams is a 5'5 guard from Chase County High School in Imperial, Neb. Williams helped her team to a 14-10 record and averaged 9.6 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. She was named SVPA Conference Honorable Mention her senior year. While at Northeastern, she will major in physical therapy/sports medicine.  Her proud parents are Angie and Brian Williams. 

Brionna McBride is a 5'11 guard from Doherty High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. McBride helped lead her team to a 16-9 record and averaged 15 points and seven rebounds a game. She was named First Team All-Colorado Springs Metro League and played in the Colorado Show All-Star game and was named Most Valuable Player. McBride will major in Dental hygiene/Nurse's Assistant during her time as a Plainswomen. She is the daughter of LaDonna Johnson. 

Jasmine Monroe-Shivers is a 5'11 guard from Sierra High School in Colorado Springs, Colo. As a prep, Monroe-Shivers helped lead her team to a 17-9 record and averaged 12 points and four rebounds a game.  She played in the Colorado Springs Metro League All-Star game. While at Northeastern, she will major in sports medicine. She is the daughter of Simone Monroe. 

The Plainswomen look to continue adding talent throughout the spring and summer and look to recreate their success in the fall.
