5th Conference Win For Plainswomen

For a 2nd time in a week, the Northeastern women's basketball team has faced rival Otero College in a conference matchup.  

(Game Recap 2/9) Plainswomen vs. Otero College = Won 77-64

1st Quarter: Stong start for the Plainswomen.  NJC leads at end of 1st 20-14.

2nd Quarter: Tighter quarter, pretty even scoring.  NJC leads at halftime 38-29.

3rd Quarter: NJC continued to pour on the points, outscored OC 22-15.  End of 3rd 60-44 NJC.

4th Quarter: Otero gains on NJC, but cannot cover point deficit.  NJC wins 77-64.

Breakdown: NJC was able to get plenty of points scored in the contest.  4 Players from Northeastern scored in double digits that provided a supporting cast for the win.  Liana Gkompetzisvili and Bianca Bindzus both recorded 18 points and 6 rebounds.  Filippa Goula had herself a nice game tallying a double-double scoring 14 points and dishing out 10 assists.  Nailea Nicholas was close to a double-double herself scoring 12 points and snatching 8 rebounds.  Overall the Plainswomen shot 42% from the field and won the rebound count.
