Teams Step It Up at Central Tournament

In the recent tournament in Riverton, WY, the golf teams both competed extremely well.  The first day of the tournament would be the only day that would count dude to a heavy rainfall making the course deemed unplayable for the following day.

For the women, the team was led by Caitlyn Jacobs as she shot an even 100 to come in second place overall.  Not to be outdone, in fourth, fifth, and sixth place was Rachel Rael, Bailey Kreider, and Jessica Salazar.  Those scores would be enough to give the girls the top spot for the tournament, giving them two weeks in a row in first place.

The men were able to climb one spot as a team to fifth place this week.  The individual to shoot the best on the team this week was Samuel Roach by scoring an 81 to put him at 13th place.  The rest of them team wished they had another day to climb the leaderboards, but the weather decided otherwise.  Although the team did not shoot better from the week before, neither did their competition which would be the difference maker.

The men will look to advance a spot on the leaderboards this week and the women try to maintain at the top as they will play on their home course at Northeastern 18 on 9/21 and 9/22.
