Women Top Leaderboards Again; Men Snag Third

Women Top Leaderboards Again; Men Snag Third

The Northeastern golf teams hosted their fall tournament recently at Northeastern 18, and the weather turned out to be perfect.  Both teams were looking to have their best scores of the season being they were on their home course, and both teams managed to do so.

In the first day, Braden Baxter would lead the men after he shot a day low of 67. For the women, Caitlyn Jacobs would lead the back with a 94.  With the men sitting in second place and the women in first, they were both in high hopes to finish out first.

As the sun rose and the dew settled on the Northeastern 18 grass, the men and women were ready for another day of Plainsmen and Plainswomen golf.  The teams knew that even though they were able to play well the first day, the other teams now knew the layout of the course and had a chance to lower their scores as well.

With the tournament at an end, the men's team finished in third place and the women's team in another impressing first place finish.  Below are the individual scores:

Plainsmen (+33)   303-306---609

  • Bradon Baxter 67-83--150
  • Brett Mattson 78-69--147
  • Bryce Bivins 88-85—173
  • Logan Wood 75-74--149
  • Samuel Roach 83-80—163
