Golf Finishes Fall Season
The golf team traveled to Lamar to play in their final fall tournament. The women were looking to clinch the top spot once again to finish the fall, and the men were looking to grab a top three finish. After this tournament, both teams will have a lengthy break to fine-tune their skills to put in use at the spring.
Both the men and women golfers had their troubles as individuals in the first day of competition, but were still sitting in the middle of the pack. As a team, the men were tied for fourth and the women were leading the charge. Day two would be the difference maker to see how the teams would place. With all the scores turned in, the men would end up in fifth after Central Wyoming was able to gain five strokes on them. The women however were able to shave off 12 points to seal first and help them separate themselves by 60 strokes from the second place team.
