Scoring Comes Easy For Plainswomen

The Plainswomen soccer team had one more game to play over Labor Day weekend, to cap off a three game home stand.  The women were looking to get back on their feet after a high scoring loss on Saturday.  The girls knew they needed to get this win to get back on the winning side of their record.

It looked to be a tough game for the Plainswomen, until the first goal was scored, then they knew they had it in the bag.  The first goal came early at the 10 minute mark to draw first blood against the Broncbusters.  After that goals came quick, and the women were leading 5-0 at half.

At halftime, the team knew they had to play solid and not be in cruise control, or else Garden City could easily score themselves back into the game.  But once the second half started, they knew it would not be the case.  The team was able to add three more goals in the second half and seal the victory 8-1.

The next game will be a home match versus the Trinidad State Trojans, which will be Faculty/Staff appreciation day with game kicking off at 12 noon.
