Plainswomen Struggle Versus Mustangs
Sept. 14, 2018, Sterling, Colo.- A two-game home stand is never an easy thing. What makes it even harder is coming off a tough loss the day before. The Northeastern ladies soccer team looked to gather their thoughts and come together in their game against the Western Wyoming Mustangs.
The Plainswomen started behind the eight-ball as they allowed the Mustangs to get their first goal in the opening minutes of the game to trail 1-0. Going behind a goal early in the game is always a challenge, but that just meant there was a lot of time left to get it back. At half, Northeastern still trailed 1-0.
In the second, the Plainswomen had a few shots on goal, but the Mustangs goalkeepers stayed solid between the pipes. As the final minutes of the came ticked away, the Mustangs added the final goal of the game, defeating Northeastern 2-0.
