Women's Soccer Dominates Conference Games

Scottsbluff, Neb...

The Plainswomen soccer team was on the road again for Labor Day weekend in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  Last weekend the soccer team won big in both of their games and was no different for their games this past weekend.  Both games this weekend for the Plainswomen were conference games, which included battles against Central Wyoming and Northwest College.  The first of their weekend games was played against Central Wyoming in which they shut the Rustlers out completely with a 3-0 win.  The Plainswomen then concluded their road trip on Sunday with a game against Northwest College out of Powell, Wyoming in great fashion with a 5-0 win.  In adding two more dashes to the win column, the Plainswomen move to 5-1 on the season.  Coach Ken McAlpine has been very happy with his teams play as they continue to go on a tear to start the season.  Currently, the Plainswomen soccer team is 1st in the NJCAA statistical column for shutouts with 5, and 4th in NJCAA for goals scored (25), shots on goal (70) and assists (21).  Next up, the Plainswomen start conference play at home On Wednesday, September 8th against Casper College at 11am.
