Darci Finnigan

This week on student-athlete spotlight we feature Plainswomen basketball player Darci Finnigan.  Native to Auckland, New Zealand, Finnigan attended Saint Kentigern where she played basketball.  During her time in high school at Saint Kentigern, she started for four years for her basketball team.  While on the team, she was named captain of her high school team for two of those years.  Additionally, she played for the Under 19 New Zealand team the Junior Tall Ferns.  While playing for the Junior Tall Ferns she had the opportunity to play against teams from USA, China, and Poland.

Now while at Northeastern, Finnigan has played well for the Plainswomen.  This year as a sophomore, she has played in and started all 16 games and is averaging 8.8 points per game while shooting a 30.9% from the three point line.  Defensively she is averaging 2.0 steals a game and snagging 3.2 rebounds per game too.

Finnigan’s proud parents are Brett and Jacqui Finnigan and siblings are Alice and Callum.
