Bio

Event Center Manager & Athletic Compliance Brian Schaefer is in his fifth year at Northeastern Junior College. During his first three years, he served as the Event Center Supervisor at the Bank of Colorado Event Center and this previous year as the Assistant Athletic Director.  Prior to Northeastern, Brian was the Sports and Special Event Coordinator for the Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department. During his tenure with the Town of Breckenridge, he worked major events such as the Summit Trail Running Series, Breckenridge Ascent Series, Breckenridge Independence Day 10k, Imperial Challenge and Firecracker 50.  In addition to these major events, Brian also volunteered at muscial events at the Breckenridge Riverwalk Center and Breckenridge Ski Resort events such as the Dew Tour.

Upon graduating from high school in Fleming, Colorado, he attended Northeastern Junior College and received an Associate of Science degree in Pre-Sports Medicine.  In 2007, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion from Colorado State University.

Brian leads the staff that oversees Northeastern's Event Center weight rooms. auxillary gym, facility rentals and memberships.  He is also the Sports Information representative for Northeastern which assists the Athletic Department in webiste upkeep, ticketing, video streams and graphic designs.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and kids Landon and Lincoln.  You might also find him at the lake, golf course or up in the moutains enjoying the fresh air and views.
