Southeast CC Sweeps Northeastern

Southeast CC Sweeps Northeastern

Lincoln, Neb...

The Plainsmen baseball team continued their road trip play this past weekend as they faced the #1 team in Region IX.  In what was high hopes for stealing a game or two from the Storm, turned into a series sweep for the Plainsmen.  The three consecutive losses have put NJC in fourth place for Region IX with 11 games left in the regular season.  Northeastern faces Western Nebraska CC in the next 5 games, three on the road and two at home.  Western Nebraska CC sits in 5th place, so NJC needs some wins in order to avoid swaping places with the Cougars.  Northeastern takes on the Cougars in Scottsbluff on Friday (April 15th) in a double-header (1pm & 3:30pm) and a single game (1pm) on Saturday (April 16th).  Cougars will then travel to Sterling for a double-header on Wednesday the 20th.
