Plainsmen Look To Regroup After Loss

The Plainsmen basketball program has been in a little funk lately as they haven't been on the correct side of the scoreboard in a few of their games.  The men were looking to get back on track against the Air Force Prep Falcons.  The Plainsmen had previously beaten the Falcons at their place back in November and were looking to do the same thing here at home.

As expected, the game started off with each team exchanging points back and forth.  At one point the Falcons were able have a slight lead over the Plainsmen, but NJC was able to string together some points and gain the lead with just under 10 minutes left in the half.  Once again, leads would exchange hands, but when the first half would end, the Falcons would have the two-point lead 45-43.

The second half, the Plainsmen knew they were still due for a run, and were hoping it could separate them enough to where the Falcons would fold and not be able to make up the difference.  Right away in the half, Northeastern would be able to gain themselves a nice eight-point lead, but a few missed shots made it to where they could not sustain it.  At the 8:27 mark, the Falcons crept back into the lead 68-67 over the Plainsmen.  Again, a back and forth battle ensued, but the Falcons would be able to stop the Plainsmen on a few key possessions and would not allow NJC to make a comeback.  The stops would allow the Falcons to get the victory with a score of 86-82

The Plainsmen look to regroup as they travel to Torrington on January 24 to play the Lancers of Eastern Wyoming.
