(Game Recap 12/9/2022) Plainsmen vs. Laramie County CC – NJC Win 90-86
1st Half – NJC had a good first half on offense putting up 39 points. The defense struggled to keep LCCC from scoring as LCCC had a 43-39 lead at the half.
2nd Half – NJC came out and got the 4 points back they lost in the first half and really put some work in Scoring 40 points the second half and giving up 36 points. This put the game into the OT.
OT – NJC came out a little slow but guarded very well giving up 2 points in the first two min of OT. NJC scored 11 points in the OT, Holding LCCC to 7 points.
Breakdown – NJC had to fight for 45 min to beat LCCC. NJC shot 55% from the field and scored 56 points in the paint. NJC dominated on the glass 40 rebounds to 20 rebounds. NJC also Racked up 23 Ast. Shaun Riley Scored a team high 25 Points and had 11 rebounds. Kobe Greene had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Ryan Payne added 17 Points.
Game Recap 12/10/22) Plainsmen vs. Eastern Wyoming College – NJC Win 90-74
1st Half – NJC came out scoring the ball well and putting up 44 points in the first half. The worked hard over the course of the first 20 min.
2nd Half – NJC came out the second half and guarded better and shot 70% from the field. The second half NJC scored 46 points. And shut Eastern Wyoming holding them to 32% the second half.
Breakdown- NJC came out and got things done and put up 90 points against EWC. NJC defensively got things done against an EWC team that can really shoot, the second half NJC showed their ability to defensively get things done and pulled away. Keynion Clark scored 23 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the way. Shaun Riley had another great game almost posting another double double with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Donta Dawson added 12 points in the 90 – 74 win.
