Game recap 1/13/23 Plainsmen vs. Western Wyoming CC – NJC Wins 91-82
1st half – NJC came out a little sluggish and WWCC got the lead early and hung on to it most the first half. NJC had to fight back being down 10 points with 4 min to go in the half. NJC was kept in the first half with a strong performance from Malachi Greenwich and Shaun Riley.
2nd half – Second half was NJC fighting to try to get the lead. With about 5 min to go, NJC came on strong and Shawn Riley hit some timely FT and NJC got the lead for good, they went up 6 and WWCC came back and tied it. Then Kobe Greene got lose and hit a 3 pointer and Shaun Riley finished the game knocking FT down .
Breakdown – Shaun Riley went for 32 points 6 rebounds and helped NJC win 91-82. Keynion Clark went for 14 points 8 rebounds, Daxton Dayley had 9 points 11 rebounds,
Game recap 1/14/23 Plainsmen vs. Casper College – Casper wins 104-74
1st half – NJC came out hurt and sluggish and it showed Casper hit their first 5 three point attempts.
2nd half – NJC made a little run in the second half but with key injuries to their front line NJC could not withstand the on slaught of three pointers.
Breakdown – Daxton Dayley had 15 points 5 rebounds, Donta Dawson had 16 points 3 rebounds, Malachi Greenwich had 13 points 6 rebounds.
Game recap 1/17/2023 Plainsmen vs. Lamar – NJC wins 91-87
1st half- NJC came out strong still fighting off some injuries and took control of the game early from lamar. Lamar came back late in first half and pulled to with in 1 at the half the score was 41-40 .
2nd half- NJC came out strong in second half and so did lamar, both teams fighting to get a lead. The defense for both teams struggled to get stops. The second half NJC scored 50 points to add to their total and won 91-87
Breakdown – Kobe Greene scored 12 of his 15 points in final 6 min of the game hitting 2 huge three pointers and hitting a big three point play. Donta Dawson scored 18 points and scoring at the rim any time he wanted. Keynion Clark scored 14 points and connected on 8-10 from FT line. Malachi Greenwich had another solid outing scoring 11 points and Shaun Riley came in with 16 points. The final was 91-87
