Men's Golf To Play In NJCAA National Preview Tournament

Northeastern men's golf team is headed to Odessa, Texas on November 4th and 5th to compete in the NJCAA National Preview Tournament.  The tournament is a good showcase for the players to get to witness and play in a very competitive environment which prepares them for what they could see in the Spring when the competitive season begins and they qualify.  NJC played well enough in the Fall season to get the invite to come and have their players experience this national golf tournament which will have some of the best players in NJCAA competing.  However, this will be just a preview tournament, and the main national tournament which is the ultimate goal takes place in the Spring.  

The Plainsmen will take their top 6 players on the roster to Odessa to play in the tournament.  These players were also ranked accordingly for the Fall season in the Region IX Conference.  Overall, NJC as a team found themselves in 3rd place out of 6 teams in the region during Fall season play.

Mateo Salcido - 22nd Ranked player in Region IX conference
