NJC Softball at Top of Region IX

Northeastern softball has been on a tear recently to say the least.  Currently the ladies are on a 10-game win streak, undefeated at home and are in first place of Region IX.  This past week, NJC faced McCook Commuity College at Mason Field in a double header that ended in a Plainswomen sweep.  Over the weekend, NJC again took the field on the road in a 4-game, two day series with North Platte Community College.  It was a high scoring affair for Northeastern as they swept the series while outscoring NPCC 68-9 during their continued successful streak.  Next up the Plainswomen battle Lamar Community College at Mason Field in a 4-game series.  The weekend series starts on Saturday, April 2nd (1pm & 3pm) and concludes Sunday (11am & 1pm).  Lamar comes into Sterling with a 6-24 overall record.
