Plainswomen Drop 5th Straight Game

Plainswomen Drop 5th Straight Game

NJC's softball season has hit a rough patch recently and been a bit of a roller coaster the past three weeks.  After having a nice long winning streak and sitting a-top of Region IX, they have slipped into a 5-game losing streak and are now sitting in 2nd place in Region IX.  NJC took 1 of 4 against Western Nebraska CC and lost both games in a regional triangle with WNCC and McCook CC this past week.  With 8 games remaining in the regular season for the Plainswomen, they will need some big wins against conference rivals to set themselves up for the post season.  Northeastern travels to La Junta this coming weekend to play Otero College in a 4-game series.  Games will start at 1pm & 3pm on Saturday, April 23rd and 11am & 1pm on Sunday, April 24th.  NJC will finish the season against Trinidad State College in Trinidad.
