Northeastern Softball Falls To Luna Community College in Game Two of the Four Game Road Series
Northeastern Softball falls to Luna Community College 7-6 on the second game of the four game road series on Wednesday. Mikeayla Llamas was named the DDC Player of the Game. Llamas went 2-4 at the plate, stole one base, drove in two runs and scored two runs in the contest.
Despite out hitting Luna 9-8, the Plainswomen couldn't earn the victory. Kelsi Jurczewsky and Llamas collected two hits in the contest. Northeastern opened up the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. The Plainswomen extender their lead in the top of the second with three runs, thanks to RBI singled by Jurczewsky and Llamas. Reagan Fehringer started the game for Northeastern and ended up taking the loss. Fehringer threw 5 innings, giving up 7 earned runs on 7 hits, walking three and striking out two batters. Maddie Cline threw one inning of relief, giving up one hit and walked one batter. Jurczeswky provided pop in the middle of the lineup, leading Northeastern with three runs batted in in the contest.
