Plainswomen End Regular Season With Victory

Plainswomen End Regular Season With Victory

Before the regular season ends, and the Plainswomen prepare for the Region IX playoffs, one team would stand in their way.  The Northwest Kansas Tech Mavericks would be the Plainswomen's final game of the regular season.  The women wanted to finish on a high note, and a victory over them would do just that.  Last time they met, the Mavericks would edge out Northeastern by a slim margin, and the Plainswomen knew what adjustments to fix for them to be victorious.

The Plainswomen would do their job with their scouting report and run everything correctly.  The women would go on to defeat the Mavs with a score of 86-73.  Players who would stand out for this game would be Katie Diakhaby with 24 points and 17 rebounds, and Kirsten Regennitter would have 20 points and eight rebounds.  The Plainswomen would finish regular season with a 14-13 record, and go 8-7 in Region IX Conference.  Although Northeastern had finished playing their conference games, they have been waiting to see how they would finish as other teams in the conference still have games to play.  The Plainswomen will see what seed they sit before they start their post season play, which begins on Friday March 2.
