NJC Drops Two at Casper Tournament

(Game Recap 11/18) Plainswomen vs. Salt Lake CC = Loss 89-50

1st Quarter - NJC stayed consistent in quarter.  End of 1st, 23-15 SLCC leads

2nd Quarter – SLCC had a solid quarter defensively.  Halftime score 45-30 SLCC leads

3rd Quarter - NJC struggled to keep up offensively.  End of 3rd 78-45.

4th Quarter - SLCC finished off Northeastern with a solid quarter at both ends.  Final score was 89-50.

Breakdown: NJC couldn't keep up with the high powered SLCC offense.  Northeastern consistenly scored 15 a quarter until Salt Lake held them to a game low 5 points in the 4th.

(Game Recap 11/19) Plainswomen vs. Casper College = Loss 79-46

1st Quarter - Casper off to a quick start.  End of the 1st, 15-7, Casper leads.

2nd Quarter - Solid defense held Northeastern.  Halftime score 36-18, Casper.

3rd Quarter - Best quarter of the game for NJC, hung in offensively.  End of 3rd 57-36.

4th Quarter - Casper finishes strong offensively.  Final score 79-46, Thunderbirds.

Breakdown: NJC offensive woes continue to plague them on the court.  Northeastern struggles to outscore opponents and stop the scoring demands.  Dalys McGuinnis and Alexander Westerdijk both led the Plainswomen in scoring, each had 9 points.  Freshamn Kelsey Koza came off the bench and scored 5.  The Plainswomen lost the turnover battle 16-10.
