Wrestling Travels To Chadron To Compete

Chadron, Neb...

The Northeastern wrestling progam traveled to Chadron on Monday to compete in their first dual of the regular season.  NJC has a lot of new faces this season including a new head and assitant coach, both with heavy backgrounds in the wrestling world.  With three sophmores on the roster, two of them returning, it's good to see a lot of young blood on the mat for the Plainsmen as they are rostering 19 freshmen.  Even though the team is young, there is a lot of talent with a mix of state champions and runner-ups.  Although the outcome was not very promising for Northeastern in their first dual, it does have to be noted that Chadron State has an extremely reputable program who sees multiple players making the nationals year in and year out.  Looking to recover from the tough loss at Chadron, NJC travels to Otero and CSU Pueblo this weekend on November 6th and 7th to compete.
