(Cowboy Open Recap 11/12)

- Last Saturday Northeastern Wrestling attended the Cowboy Open in Laramie, Wyoming. This was a D1 tournament and we competed against some of the best teams in the country; including University of Wyoming, Air Force, Oregon State, and Utah Valley University. Also in attendance were 4th ranked (NJCAA) Northwest Kansas Technical College and 5th ranked Western Wyoming Community College. With this level of competition I was pumped to have 4 placers.

- Leading the Plainsmen at 174 pounds was 5th ranked Tucker Naccarato. Tucker had 2 exceptional wins over Darion Johnson from Western Wyoming (2-1) and John Knight from Oregon State (5-4). Tucker ended up with an impressive runner-up finish.

- Deegan Palmer, ranked 5th at 141 pounds, also had a great showing with wins over Air Force and Northwest Kansas Tech. Deegan went 4-2 on the day and earned a 5th place finish at the Cowboy Open.

- Northeastern had 2 placers at 197 pounds in Sophomore Logan Bean (4th) and Freshman Angel Fuentes (5th).

- Braydon Mogle, ranked 3rd in the country, had some big wins for the Plainsmen as well. Braydon had wins over Wyoming and Chadron State and was one match away from placing. He went 3-2 on the day against some challenging competition.
