Plainswomen Recognize Sophomores

In the last regular season game before playoffs, the Plainswomen hosted the Gillette College Pronghorns.  Regardless of if the Plainswomen won or lost, this was not a conference game so their spot in playoffs was secure.  Nevertheless, the Plainswomen still wanted to win.

As the game began, the Pronghorns applied the pressure to the Plainswomen, which payed off, as they were able to score two goals within minutes apart.  The Plainswomen were a little taken back from how fast they were scored, which was able to wake them up a little.  After those two goals, a different Northeastern team came out of them.  In the 35th minute, Jaycie Dillenburg was able to cut the score in half with a goal of her own as Macy Gurule was credited with the assist.

In the second half, the Plainswomen were able to advance the ball through the Pronghorn defense, and had a chance or two to score, but each time were deflected of a Pronghorn defender.  The Plainswomen kept trying but could never get a clear shot and lost in the end 2-1.

The Plainswomen will advance to the Region IX Playoffs and the location has yet to be determined.
