Sept. 13, 2018, Sterling, Colo.- The Plainswomen opened their first home game against the Sheridan College Generals. The ladies were looking to give their fans an experience with not only their new scoreboard in the Bank of Colorado Event Center, but with their game as well. With warmups coming to a close, the fans began to pack in with students and community members alike. 

The Plainswomen took an early lead in the first set, but the Generals brought it back to a tie, 13-13. From that point on, Northeastern went on a 12-6 run, finishing the set with a 25-19 win.

The energy in the building was electric, and Northeastern fed off it. The Plainswomen poured on the points and won 25-11. 

The third set was no different. Northeastern took an early lead 12-5, but the Generals still managed to get a few back. With the score 14-8, the Plainswomen finished it and took the energy into the games for the Pizza Hut Invitational. The set ended 25-12, and gave Northeastern the 3-0 win.
