Coach Chrisman Adds Another Award To Her NJC Coaching Career

Sterling, Colo...

Coach Mackenzie Chrisman has accomplished many things during her short tenure here at Northeastern.  Just today, she received the 2021 AVCA (American Volleyball Coaches Association) Two-Year College West Region Coach of the Year Award.  On top of this prestigious award, in 2019, Chrisman won the AVCA Assistant Coach of the Year Award.  Not only did she win the AVCA award in 2021, Coach Chrisman also won the NJCAA Coach of the Year Award for the Region IX conference.  To say the least, it has been a very successful run for the program these past couple of seasons.  Coach Chrisman has enjoyed great success since she took over at Northeastern in 2019.  Her 2021 team earned a berth in the NJCAA National Championship, marking the school's fourth-straight appearance in the NJCAAs.  In addition to going unbeaten in conference play, the Plainswomen had a 14-match winning streak that started in late September and continued through the first-round of the NJCAA tourney.

Congrats Coach Mackenzie Chrisman, and we look forward to seeing what success we can accomplish during the 22-23 season.
