Successful Road Trip For Plainsmen Soccer

The Plainsmen soccer team finished up the regular season with a road trip to Wyoming.  On Friday, October 15th they played Central Wyoming College and on Saturday, October 16th played Northwest College.  This was the second time this season that Northeastern has faced these opponents.  NJC has continued success throughout the season as they see it come to an end.

(Game Recap (10/15) Plainsmen vs. Central Wyoming College = Won 2-1

NJC Goal #1 - At minute 4, Say Poe gets a free kick that resulted in Harry Reed beating the CWC goalkeeper with a header, it was Reed's 10th goal of the season

CWC Goal #1 - Central equalizes with a penalty kick goal from Frankie Dolce

NJC Goal #2 -  At minute 80, Lars Walczyk splits the defenders and finds Jared Maciel for a header goal that gives them the lead and win, it was Walczyk's 7th assist of the season

Breakdown:  Tough match up in the first half with the score tied at 1 going into half.  Northeastern found several ways to find shots against Central as they out shot them 26 to 9 in the game while adding 7 corner kicks in the contest.

(Game Recap 10/16) Plainsmen vs. Northwest College = Won 2-0

NJC Goal #1 - At minue 30, Harry Reed is isolated with a 1 on 1 opportunity, beats defender and finds Lars Walczyk on the cross pass who fires a shot to beat goalkeeper

NJC Goal #2 - At minute 89, Junio Lang is in transistion after a badly played ball by Northwest, passes to Blake Pirami in the slot who fires a shot past goalkeeper

Breakdown: NJC dominated the entire game with shots and possession.  Northwest couldn't find the answer to stopping Northeastern players from rushing down the field and making plays.  Dario Luca Primus tallied another shutout at goalkeer for Northeastern.  The Plainsmen out shot Northwest 26 to 3.
