Northeastern Takes Care of Business On The Road Against Northwest Kansas Technical College 13-1

Lauren Lee hit two home runs and drove in five runs as Northeastern defeated Northwest Kansas Technical College 13-1 on Thursday. The Plainswomen got on the board in the top of the first inning after Kaylee Eyl singled, Blayke Duncan doubled, Ryann Eurich grounded out, and Isabelle Bencivenga singled, each scoring one run. Reagan Fehringer hit a solo home run to right in the top of the second for the Plainswomen. Six more Northeastern runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 11-1. Fehringer singled, scoring two more runs, and Lee hit a grand slam to left field. Two more Plainswomen runs crossed the plate in the fifth inning to make the lead 13-1. Lee hit a solo home run to center field, and an error scored one run. Fehringer earned the win for the Plainswomen. Thre righty gave up one hit and one run over three and two thirds innings, striking out one and walking two. Eurich tossed one and one-third innings of no run ball for Northeastern in relief. The righty allowed zero hits, striking out none and walking none. Northeastern accumulated 13 hits in the game. Duncan, Bencivenga, and Fehringer each collected multiple hits for the Plainswomen. Ayva McComas paced Northeastern with two walks. Overall Northeastern accumulated fice walks on the game. Northeastern also stole four bases during the contest and turned one double play.
