Northeastern Handles Business On The Road Against Northwest Kansas Technical College Winning Game 2 12-0

Northeastern defeated Northwest Kansas Technical College 12-0 on Game 2 of Thursday thanks in part to 10 runs in the fifth inning. Blayke Duncan singled, scoring one run Isabelle Bencivenga singled, scoring one run, and error scored one run, Aubrey Wright hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Ayva McComas doubled scoring two runs, Lauren Lee doubled, scoring three runs, and a wild pitch scored one run. Northeastern added on run in the third. Savannah Waldrop singled, making the score 2-0. Teagan Kehm earned the win for the Plainswomen. The righty gave three hits and zero runs over five innings, strking out one and walking four. Kaylee Eyl led Northeastern with three hits in four at bats. Lee and McComas each drove in two runs for Northeastern. The Plainswomen worked the count all day, accumulating five walks during the game. Northeastern ran wild on the base paths, collecting three stolen bases. The Plainswomen also turned one double play. Northeaster was sure handed and didn't commit a single error, Duncan had the most chances with five. The Plainswomen are back in action Friday March 21st at 1:00 PM against Lamar Community College.
