Northeastern Gets The Series Win 3-1 After Taking Down Lamar Community College 15-10 in Game 4

Lauren Lee drove in six runs on three hits to lead Northeastern past Lamar Community College 15-10 in Game 4 on Saturday. Lee doubled in the fifth scoring three, hit a home run to left field in the fourth scoring two, and singled in the first scoring one. Northeastern and Lamar both collected 16 hits during the contest. Northeastern got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Kaylee Eyl doubled, scoring one run, Lee singled, scoring one run, Isabelle Bencivenga doubled, scoring two runs, and Aubrey Wright doubled, scoring one run. The Plainswomen scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to left field by Lee. Northeastern flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fifth, scoring six runs on two hits to take a 14-10 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Lee that drove in three. Teagan Kehm earned the win for Northeastern. The reliever allowed seven hits and three runs (two earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Ryann Eurich led things off in the circle for Northeastern. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and seven runs over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking three. Northeastern accumulated 16 hits in the game. Wright, Lee, and Ayva McComas each collected three hits for the Plainswomen. Eurich and Bencivenga each collected multiple hits for Northeastern. Northeastern had patience at the plate, tallying four walks for the game. The Plainswomen ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases in the contest. Northeastern turned one double play during the game. The Plainswomen are back in action again on Friday March 29th at 1:00 PM against Luna Community College.
