Northeastern Athletics Implements New Protocols for 2020-21 Seasons

The Northeastern Junior College Athletics Department has announced game day procedures for the 2021 spring seasons.

MASK POLICY

  • Appropriate cloth or surgical-style masks that cover the nose and mouth completely will be required at all times while on campus and in the Bank of Colorado Event Center, Plainsmen Park, Mason Field and Northeastern Soccer Field.
  • Other face coverings including clear face shields or masks with valves are not permitted.
  • Masks may be removed temporarily only if necessary for eating and drinking while seated.
  • Concessions will not be sold during Fall 2020.

TICKETING

  • Digital ticketing will be implemented for 2020-21 to allow fans to seamlessly access tickets via HomeTown Tickets, accessible on gonjc.com. Barriers will be in place at all ticket scanners.
  • Ticket allotments will be reduced per Colorado and Northeast Colorado Health Department guidelines.
  • Due to limited seating capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, NJC will not be selling season tickets for the 2021 seasons.
  • Home and visitor patrons will receive a limited number of tickets on an event basis.

Mobile tickets can be accessed via the link sent to your email or on your phone. Tickets may also be printed at home prior to arriving.

We strongly recommend the following important tips:

  • Once you receive your tickets, please add them to your mobile wallet. If there are time changes to the game, they will automatically be adjusted if the ticket is in your wallet. By adding your ticket(s) to your mobile wallet in advance, you can avoid slow or weak Wi-Fi or cellular signals at the arena.
  • If you are attending with guests, transfer each person their individual ticket in advance.
  • Make sure you have a full battery charge before heading to the arena.
  • Make sure your phone's screen is clean and free of scratches and cracks.

ARENA SEATING CAPACITY PATTERN

Bank of Colorado seating capacity will be based on the establishment of "family" seating pods of 2 to 4 based on the primary ticketholders request with a consistent pattern of separation between each of the pods. The pattern will be arranged throughout the Jackson and Edwards Arena in a manner that best fits the configuration of each seating section.

The basic components of the seating capacity pattern include:

  • "Family" seating pods of 2 to 4 will be assigned.
  • No seat will be occupied directly in front or directly behind any family pod: an empty seat will be on the row directly in front and the row directly behind each seat in a family pod.
  • Each family pod will have direct access to an aisle without crossing in front of any other family pod on the same row
  • The closest pod on the same row in the seating arena will be separated by 3 empty seats.
  • No fans will be permitted in the first row.
  • Loitering after games will not be permitted. Fans will be dismissed in sections and must leave the facility immediately.

GATE ENTRY

  • Scanners will be used to reduce points of contact.
  • ADA patrons and fans needing extra time will be permitted to enter arena 1 hour before tip (all others may enter 30 minutes before tip).
  • By entering the arena, fans attest that they agree, are not COVID-19 symptomatic and will follow COVID-19 prevention protocol, including wearing a mask.
  • Entrance pathways at each gate will be safely distanced.
  • Re-entry will not be permitted.
