Northeastern Announces $20 for 2020 Campaign

Sterling, CO - The Northeastern Athletic Department and the Northeastern Foundation have partnered to officially announce the creation of the $20 for $20 scholarship campaign. The funds raised from this campaign will go directly to student-athlete scholarships.

"2020 has been hard on all of us.  It is our hope that our former student-athletes, current student-athletes, Northeastern community and our faithful followers will support this campaign to help us raise scholarship funds to guide us through what will be challenging times in our next academic year," said Northeastern Athletic Director, Marci Henry.

Due to COVID19 restrictions, fundraising options for the past ten months have been significantly limited.  On Tuesday, December 8, Colorado Gives Day Northeastern Athletics is encouraging all community members, alumni, and staff to donate $20 to the campaign.

As the COVID19 pandemic continues, Northeastern has yet to realize the full impact.  Northeastern remains committed to providing the necessary resources for student-athletes.  With the support of all community members, NJC will continue to fund the best student-athlete experience.

"Our students tell us the only time they feel "normal" is when they are playing their sport. It's now more important than ever that we provide a great student-athlete experience.  All contributions help fund scholarships that our normal fundraisers couldn't cover because of COVID. We want to be able to continue to provide that normalcy and give our student-athletes an opportunity to be competitive within the region," Henry said.

To donate, please go to GONJC.com, click support Pete, select giving Tuesday to be directed to the Colorado Gives website.  Once on the website, put in your donation amount and 20 for 20 in the special instructions.  Donations will also be accepted inside the Bank of Colorado Event Center Monday-Friday.
