Even though Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen collected nine hits to McCook CC's eight, they still fell 6-3 on Saturday. In the first inning, McCook CC got their offense started when Davies singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen built a seven-run lead in the third inning and then held off McCook CC's charge for an 8-7 victory on Sunday. McCook CC scored seven runs in the failed comeback. Quick, Descartes, Yeager, Watson, Murdoch, and Minic picked up RBIs to lead the rally. There was plenty of action on the basepaths as Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen collected seven hits and McCook CC had 12. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen got things moving in the second inning. Isaac Sherrill singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. McCook CC scored three runs in the fifth inning. McCook CC's big inning was driven by singles by Yeager and Watson.
