Noah Soper Gets Region IX Pitcher of the Week

Northeastern pitcher Noah Soper got the Region IX Pitcher of the Week nod as he had a solid week of the season from the mound.  Soper comes to NJC from Sterling, Colorado and pitches for the Plainsmen.  During the past week of the 2023 regular season for the Plainsmen, they played four games against Dawson Community College and two against Miles City Community College.  This is the second Plainsmen pitcher to receive the Region IX Pitcher of the Week award this season.

During the Dawson/Miles City stretch, Soper pitched in his 5th game of the season and solidified his 1st season win.  During his past two apperances, Noah pitched 7.2 innings and only gave up 3 hits.  He also struck out 12 batters, had 2 walks and 1 earned run.  Overall this season, Soper has a 3.55 ERA, 12.2 innings pitched, 14 strikeouts and is 1-1.

Northeastern needs players like Noah to continue the big play as the season progresses to give the team a threat in the pitching lineup in which other teams will have to be aware of.
