Ruffin Hits for the Cycle - 5th Plainsmen in History

Northeastern outfielder Jaylan Ruffin hit for the cycle in a game last week against the Otero Rattlers.  Ruffin comes to NJC from North Platte, Nebraska and plays centerfield for the Plainsmen.  During the past week of the 2023 regular season for the Plainsmen, they played four games against Otero College and swept them in the four-game series.  This is the fifth Plainsmen in NJC baseball history to hit for the cycle in just one-game.

During the Otero College game, Ruffin went 4-4.  Ruffin's batting included a single, double, triple and home run.  His 4 at-bats netted him 2 runs and 6 RBI's, a dominating performance from the plate.

Northeastern needs players like Jaylan to continue the big play as the season progresses to give the team a threat in the pitching lineup in which other teams will have to be aware of.
