Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen fell to Cougars 6-5 on Thursday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at five with Cougars batting in the bottom of the eighth when Jacob Jackson hit a solo homer. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen lost despite out-hitting Cougars eight to seven. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen opened up scoring in the first inning. Jackson Trout drove in two when Trout homered. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Cougars tied things up at five when Roangeraud Fraai singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. Nicolas Tremblay got the win for Cougars. The righthander allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen defeated Cougars 8-6 on Thursday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at four with Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen batting in the top of the sixth when Tomas Ricny drew a walk, scoring one run. Both offenses were strong at the plate as Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen collected nine hits and Cougars six in the high-scoring affair. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen got on the board in the first inning when Josh Moore drew a walk, scoring one run. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen knotted the game up at four in the top of the fifth inning. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen scored one run when Cade Owens singled. Cougars scored three runs in the third inning. Drew Book and Tyler Easter all drove in runs in the frame.
