Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 12-7 loss to Luna on Sunday. Luna scored on a home run by Ogawa, a home run by Henriquez, an error, an error during Garcia's at bat, and a groundout by Ogawa in the first inning. Despite the loss, Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen did collect seven hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Luna had 12 hits on the way to victory. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen nabbed the lead late in the game in a 14-6 victory over Luna on Sunday. The game was tied at five with Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jackson Trout lined out, driving in a run. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen was boosted by Josh Cote who went 4-for-5 at the plate. Cote doubled in the second, singled in the third, homered in the fifth, and doubled in the fifth. Luna fired up the offense in the first inning. Kerin drove in three when Kerin homered. After Luna scored one run in the top of the third, Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen answered with one of their own. Luna scored when Kerin singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run. Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen then answered when Tomas Ricny hit a solo homer. Cole Jones pitched Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen to victory. The fireballer went five innings, allowing five runs on five hits and striking out seven. Chase McCreath and Noah Soper entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
