NJC Wins Southeast Series, heads to Otero for Cross Division Playoffs

The Northeastern baseball team will be traveling to La Junta, Coloradao later this week to compete in the Cross Division playoffs. A best-of-three game series will take place with games slated to be played on Thursday (5/4) at 2pm, Friday (5/5) at 12pm and an "if game" at 3pm. Winner of the series will move onto the Region 9 Baseball tournament and the loser will have their 22-23 season come to an end.

Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 17-0 loss to Southeast Community College Storm on Friday. Southeast Community College Storm scored on a home run by Danny Spongberg in the first inning, a home run by Tyler Bishop in the first inning, a error in the second inning, and a single by Tyler Palmer in the second inning. The Northeastern Junior College Plainsmen struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Southeast Community College Storm, giving up 17 runs.
