Northeastern Finishes off the 4 game home stand against Dawson Going 4-0 After Winning a Gritty Hard Fought Game 4

Josh Cote drove in five runs on three hits, one double shy of a cycle, to lead to the Plainsmen to 15-12 victory. Cote hit a grand slam in the fourth inning and singled in the first inning to score one run. Northeastern amassed nine hits throughout the ball game. Dawson jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first inning. The Plainsmen jumped into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Wynn Drewes hit a solo home run to left field and Luke Byler doubled, scoring two runs. Northeastern added to it's lead in the third after a wild pitch scored two runs and an error drove in another run. Dawson soon flipped the scoreboard with a grand slam in the fourth inning after hitting a grand slam. Then the Plainsmen came to the plate in the fourth and regained the lead after Cote's grand slam in the bottom of the inning. Matt Yarish earned the win for the Plainsmen, the reliever gave up zero hits and zero runs over two and one-third innings, striking out four and walking none. Creed Martin started the game, allowing one hit and four runs (one earned) over one inning, striking out three and walking three. James Harbison collected the save. Edyn Barber also apperead in relief for the Plainsmen. Drewes and Anthony Porras each collected multiple hits for the Plainsmen. Joel Franco led the team with three walks and two stolen bases. The Plainsmen were walked a total of 10 times and gained four stolen bases. The Plainsmen are back in action on Saturday March 2nd against CSU Club.
